Q. What will be the objective?
A. We are now preparing to be a technically strong team and be a competitive team.

Q. Do we plan on winning and placing first or are we working on a 4 year plan?
A. Whatever league we are playing in, try to request that our games finish March 30, 2015 this way we can take a break and start to focus on outdoor. At this point and stage our cardio program should run 52 weeks of the year

Set up a 52 week program that will start the week after tryouts and run the whole year.

*Christmas break is from December 21, to January 5th 2014

*We are participating in the March Break friendly game. General Preparatory Phase (4 to 8 weeks)

*During this phase of training, the player’s base skills and abilities are developed. The training state during this phase provides a base for the age appropriate development
intensity work needed during later stages of training.

*In the general preparatory phase, volume is high and intensity is low. The overall goal is to produce gains in aerobic capacity, develop balance on the ball, select specific skills to be trained. This phase lasts from four to eight weeks.

*This phase may include more cardio training. Endurance training is introduced in this phase; nutritional education should also be part of this phase. Specific Preparatory (4 to 8 weeks Phase)

*In this phase, the players continue to build their cardio base, but they also start to build specific strength and stamina to simulate specific movements in training. Similarly, focus training begins to be tailored to the sport. This phase lasts from four to eight weeks.

*Players increase their training load in this phase by increasing the intensity of workouts; volume also increases slightly. Technical skills are highlighted, and activities are more structured than in the general preparatory phase.

*March break is March 11 to March 15 2015

*Easter is from April 1 to April 6 2015, we have to plan the month of March very carefully Pre-Competitive Phase (4 to 6 weeks)

*The purpose of the pre-competitive phase is to train all 3 energy systems in a soccer specific environment. Tactical work is introduced and volume remains high. There is a major increase in the number and degree of high intensity workouts. This phase lasts from four to six weeks.

*Activities in the phase should be moving towards sport specific activities. Thus, technical skill training is emphasized in practice and players are introduced to actual competitions. Monitor players carefully for fatigue & signs of injury. Make sure the rest of the days of high intensity training.

*Competitions must be received in two ways. First, they must be considered the final test of my coaching decisions and plans. Second they should be used to assess players in situations that are impossible to replicate in practice environments. Only in competition when faced with an opponent do players experiences stress levels that can cause inappropriate responses. Emotions such as; anger, frustration and fear difficult to simulate elsewhere.

*For these reasons it is important to expose players to competitions in various forms and degrees and to opponents who use various tactics and strategies

*This phase lasts as long as the player is competing. The purpose of this phase is to maintain health and cardio while training competing and traveling. Players emphasize technical and tactical work, decrease volume and keep intensity high in the competitions and simulations

*Select friendly game carefully

*As soon as the beginning of July comes around RAMP UP fitness program. Start at the beginning of July so the players have the required conditioning to finish the season strong.

*All training must be age appropriate, challenging and FUN
